  1. The Loews Coronado Resort in Coronado, California is my top pick for the best U.S. hotel. It’s the perfect summer base for families – an easy walk to the beach, great access to kids’ camp and a convenient shuttle to Downtown Coronado. | Catherine Parker, US travel blogger for carfulofkids.com
  2. If you’re heading east this summer, you can’t beat the Farm Sanctuary B&B in Watkins Glen, New York. Go there for cozy, countryside cabins, tips on local vegetarian and vegan eats, and to be part of a wonderful farm animal sanctuary. | Lauren Elizabeth, Canadian travel blogger for justinpluslauren.com
  3. Best US hotels? My pick is the fabulous Hotel Vandivort in Springfield, Missouri. It’s chic with attitude (the room tags read: ‘Not now, we’re naked’). And it’s located in a renovated, 1906 Masonic temple on East Walnut Street. | Janice Nieder, US travel writer for janicenieder.com
  4. For an intimate luxury resort experience, you can’t pass up The Hermosa Inn in Phoenix, Arizona. Built by cowboy artist Lon Megargee, it’s filled with original art – and landscaping that’s an art in itself. It’s gorgeous, the award-winning food amazing and the staff welcoming. | Lois Alter Mark, US travel blogger for midlifeattheoasis.com
  5. Like Lois, I’m a fan of Arizona and The Phoenician Resort, in particular. It has a stand-alone spa, a centre for wellbeing, which offers holistic and desert botanical treatments, as well as exquisite restaurants, golf and gorgeous surroundings – a true oasis in the desert. | Mira Hymen Temkin, US travel writer.
  6. The Palmer House hotel in Chicago should make it on any list of the best US hotels. It’s a gorgeous beaux art-inspired hotel with wonderful architectural details throughout – one of Chicago’s landmark hotels. Apparently many legendary stars have stayed there, as well as British authors like Oscar Wilde and Charles Dickens. The brownie was apparently invented there and it’s supposed to be haunted. | Rossana Wyatt, Canadian travel writer for lifeisfullofadventures.com
  7. The Chattanooga Choo Choo in Chattanooga, Tennessee is my choice because of the history, its uniqueness and the amenities and attractions available on the hotel grounds. | Kathleen Walls, US travel writer for americanroads.net
  8. In New York, I love AKA Central Park apartments. It’s a perfect spot for longer stays, located just behind the Plaza Hotel and Central Park. It’s a home-away-from-home with in-suite sitting areas and a kitchen. | Veronica Matheson, Australian travel writer for australiancruisingnews.com
  9. Cavallo Point in Sausalito, California. Location, location, location AND the spa | Diana Russler, US travel writer for thewingedsandals.com
  10. For me, Boston’s Envoy Hotel is a great choice. Located near the Harbourwalk in the city’s Innovation District, the property has a real sense of place. I love the farm-to-table restaurant, Outlook, and the rooftop bar has some of the best views of Boston you will find anywhere. | Alison Abbott, US travel writer for greenwithenvy.com
  11. In San Antonio, Texas the Omni La Mansion del Rio hotel is beautiful, historic, and right along the romantic riverwalk | Mary Chong, Canadian travel blogger for calculatedtraveller.com
  12. The Grand Wailea in Hawaii and I don’t need to tell you why it’s on my list of best US hotels. Location location location (and the spa!) | Beth Helms Graham, US travel blogger for momuncorked.com
  13. Staying in New York City? I’d recommend the Archer Hotel. The midtown location is perfect for exploring and the little touches this boutique hotel provides make it stand out from the rest. | Dana Freeman, US travel blogger for danafreemantravels.com
  14. I was super impressed with the Ace Hotel in New Orleans – so it’s definitely on my list of best U.S. hotels. Chic, friendly, easy walk to pretty much anywhere you want to go. The fact every room has its own turntable and small vinyl collection is the icing on the cake. | Jacqui Gibson, New Zealand blog director for fwtmagazine.com
